Corinne Thomas, the woman behind the GoPro during Cupid's Undie Run, breaks down the TernPro Video of the Week!
When I came across TernPro, I had only one thought: I need to use them for my upcoming charity run! The run, which I took part in last year as well, features over one-thousand scantily-clad Detroiters running one mile in the dead of winter, all to support the Children’s Tumor Foundation.
I pride myself on being “tech-savvy”, but using a GoPro for the first time was more difficult than I thought. TernPro was very supportive with their best practices guide and direct support to walk me through the best ways to capture the event!
My friend and I wore the GoPro cameras throughout the event, and captured everything from dancing in the Fillmore Theatre to running by Comerica Park!
After the event, we sent the camera package back to TernPro, and in just a week’s time had an amazing short video we could share with family and friends of our experience (otherwise they wouldn’t have believed us)! I love their service and will be using them again.

Detroit is experiencing the most extreme weather of any city in the country this year, and has had 6.5 feet of snow so far and 100 days of below-freezing temperatures. Instead of hibernating inside, the TernPro team took to the streets of Detroit to take advantage of all the snowfall. Check out the video of us sledding around Detroit with our GoPros!

The mission of TernPro is to show the stories of organizations and adventurers through amazing video. This means finding new and better ways to capture footage from experiences. The GoBall, the world's most compact GoPro handle, provides users a portable and easy way to capture all of the moments of their experiences. TernPro is partnering with GoBall to help make this prototype a reality! Check out the video below, and support the GoBall on KickStarter.
Chris here, co-founder of the GoBall - the world's most compact GoPro handle.
The GoBall is an ergonomic handle that allows for extreme dexterity and portability. The roots of the concept inadvertently started in 2012. I wanted to bring my GoPro everywhere I went while I was traveling so I could capture as much film possible. I fashioned a small handle so I could keep it in my back pocket and I just kept recording.
A year and a half later, I still bring my GoPro everywhere, trying to capture all of life’s little nuances. I started to notice a theme. I was out there, mixing it up in other countries, doing cool things and shooting cool video. Every time I watched the footage I captured, I wanted to capture more and capture better. I wouldn't have been able to do it if I didn't always have my GoPro with me, continuously honing my craft; and I wouldn't not always be able to have my GoPro with me if I couldn't fit it in my pocket. The GoBall keeps the compact package of the GoPro minimal while providing a dexterous grip. Access to you camera allows for more filming; more filming leads to a better capture. As mobile photography and videography explodes due to increasingly inexpensive and accessible technology, the creative door has been opened to anyone with an idea and a camera. We've seen a trend emerge where companies and products, consumers and communities have encouraged everyone to become a participant and, in turn, the end result encourages and empowers others to do the same.TernPro is one of these companies and we are excited to be partnering with an interesting startup and concept that encourages people to grab their lives by the camera. We couldn't agree more.

Nordic skiing is one of the most rigorous sports in the world, and demands an intense training regiment from its athletes. Year around, nordic skiers train to increase their endurance, power, and heart to become the best they can be. It takes a special kind of athlete to endure the months of training and focus, and maybe even a little craziness! This is definitely the case for my friend Sam Tarling, our featured athlete in TernPro's Video of the Week! Sam brought a TernPro Video Package with him to Bohart Ranch in Bozeman, MT to show us what a training weekend is like for him and his team. Beautiful terrain, perfect ski weather, fun with friends, and lots of skiing! Check out the video:

The Sam Tarling Story
I was born and raised in the greater Portland area of southern Maine. My father had a tremendous influence on my ski career by getting me involved with the sport. He never pressured me to pursue skiing or ski racing, and I am grateful that I was able to develop a love for the sport independently. I raced in the Bill Koch Youth Ski League from the age of 5, and with my dad’s help, started a Middle School ski team at the Merriconeag Waldorf School in Freeport, Maine. In just the second year of the team’s existence, we won the Class-B Maine State Championships! The team is now thriving and one of the most successful programs in the state. My father is still involved with the school, coaching the high school team.
In high school, I qualified for the Junior National Championships and decided I wanted to pursue skiing at a higher level. Thankfully, my parents were supportive enough to allow me to attend the nation’s first ski academy, Burke Mountain Academy, and I was able to take skiing to the next level. My experience at Burke had a profound effect on my life, in terms of academic and athletic development. In the fall of 2008, I was accepted to Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, where I competed for 4 years on the varsity ski team, and where I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies.

The midwest has been cold this winter. Very cold. A group of friends decided to make the best of the extreme winter weather and traveled to Schuss Mountain, Michigan for a fun ski weekend! Luckily for us, they brought along a TernPro Video Package and captured some awesome moments with their GoPro cameras. Special thanks to Zoom Detroit Studios for the awesome video. Check it out here:
